Wimbledon Fashion 2015

So Wimbledon is well and truly underway and we have to say, that whilst we love the tennis (obvs) we've got our eye on the celebs and fashion.

Wimbledon is known for it's customary traditions, such as eating strawberries and cream and the strict white clothing rule for competitors. These traditions, amongst many others all contribute to making Wimbledon the oldest, most prestigious tournament loved all over the world.

So, who have we seen so far? And more importantly, what are they wearing and what arm candy are they carrying!!

First up is Millie Mackintosh looking gorgeous and summery in a light ruffle printed dress, teamed with a Chanel bag. You can steal the bag style with our Ava bag and guess what?....we've just added it to the sale!!

Finishing Touches - It's All In The Detail!

No matter what the special occasion, or night out on the town, us ladies love to plan our outfits....FACT!

And it's not just our outfits either! we plan every last detail including hair, make-up, spray tans and nails!

But, planning for a night out, whilst exciting, can leave us full on stressed up to the eyeballs. Why do we get ourselves like this? it's meant to be something really fab to look forward to, yet in the blink of a mascara wand, if we can't find anything to wear or our winged eyeliner isn't right, we can turn into stroppy little divas!

So let's take a step back and ease some of the drama! We've got some top tips on creating the perfect stress free look, whilst creating uber class and style!

1.  Shopping for a new outfit? Then buy ONE! not two, or a few dresses, because they were half price in the sale! Last thing you need, is all three laid out on the bed at 7.30pm with the taxi beeping outside and you're still doing eenie, meenie, miney, moe! Decide on the outfit at least the day before, and all the accessories and finishing touches must work around that!

2. Never tan in a rush! We've all done it, slapped it on with 5 minutes to spare and the playsuit you've been dying to wear now looks ridiculous teamed with patchy, flaky legs and let's not even mention the knees! In our experience, it's best to tan the night before and spend time exfoliating and moisturising the rough patches on knees, elbows and backs of the hands. 

3. Plan your hair and make-up and stick to it. Oh and don't try anything too risky, whilst in 'getting ready mode'! Remember Bridget Jones ironing her hair out on the ironing board...it's disaster with a capital D! No, in our opinion, whether, it's an up do, curly or straight, stick to a hairstyle you've done a million times before, or at least you've practised beforehand.

When it comes to make-up, this is a tricky one. You've seen that vid on youtube, you know the one, that top beauty blogger doing her amazing winged liner and smokey eye and think to yourself...i'll do that at the weekend! 

Uh...oh...you're now staring at your reflection in horror, wondering why you look like a panda. When will we ever learn? These beauty bloggers have probably recorded this vid like 20 times before they uploaded the perfect one. By all means try a new lipstick or shadow, but probably best to go with the application of what you know.

4. Acessorise...accessorise! Top tip with your accessories, is try to get them matching up as best as you can or you could end up looking like a Christmas tree. Too much can be a distraction and you want everything to compliment each other. For example if your wearing a heavy embellished dress with gems and sequins, then go for a simple, elegant clutch bag and shoes. Or if you're wearing a multi coloured floral jumpsuit, pick out a prominent colour in the garment and choose that colour in a clutch bag and shoes. Simple really, when you think about it!

Finally, let's not forget about those talons! A big NO NO is chipped nail polish girls. Don't go to all the trouble of looking reem, then spoil it with grubby nails. Book yourself in for a Shellac and Minx a couple of days before and your good to go!

Bloggers With Bag Envy!

It's not just our adoring customers and social followers who've got bag envy! Did you know we also have an army of bloggers and vloggers who love our arm candy too.

To be honest, not that we're blowing out own trumpet *ahem* but if you've ever shopped with us before you'll know our huge selection of handbags and accessories, truly are gorgeous and totally amazing quality. Let's face it, most of us ladies love to change our handbags more times that we have hot dinners, so we need to have access to fabulous styles at prices that won't break the handbag piggy bank!

One of our next key looks is working the monochrome vibes, black and white is so modern and stylish! 

Blogger Laurie-Elle's daily essentials included our dotty purse and hint of colour with her favourite Burberry lippy. The beauty of this purse is, that it doesn't have to be hidden away in your bag. It's got tons of character and look good just carried on it's own. Make sure your nails have a contrasting colour such as cobalt blue or vibrant yellow!

Kylie Comes Clean!

Finally, the youngest Jenner has come clean...about that bee sting pout! 

Of course we already knew her secret and not that she had to tell. But we never believed for a minute she'd used some amazing lip pencil or plumping cream. Why? Because us gals would be on it like a hot potato, and the miracle beauty product would have cleared the shelves faster than you can say Kardashian Jenner!  

To be honest, we think Kylie is beautiful and looks absolutely amazing. Everyone has their own insecurities and everyone deserves to be happy with the way they look and how they feel about themselves. If Kylie or anyone chooses to have cosmetic surgery then we shouldn't judge.

But on the other side of the coin, many of us would love these procedures but can't afford the costs. So we want to know your favourite lotions, potions and plumpers!

Mums With Style!

Aww! How adorable is the new princess, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana? And how amazing did Kate look emerging from the Lindo Wing a mere 10 hours after giving birth! Most of us Mums will know the struggle to even get dressed within the first week of a new born, let alone looking like we've just stepped out of a salon on the same day! 

Yes, we know Kate's personal hairdresser and stylist arrived, but still, Kate Middleton is super stylish and extremely classy and is what we call a...Mum with Style! 

Mums with style just seem to make it look so easy! How are they even so organised for a start? Most mums will agree that getting out of the door on a morning is more of a challenge than running the London Marathon! 

But let's give credit where it's due, after all if they can raise a family, hold down jobs and still look like a yummy mummy...well good on em', who says style should go out the door just because your a Mum. And, it's not all about the latest designer handbag or dress either, it's about maintaining sartorial brilliance.

Our favourite celeb Mums have nailed it, take Heidi Klum for instance. Heidi teams simple black capri trousers with a black vest and heels, how chic does this look? add the customary dark shades and we have to say we're pretty impressed.

Our next favourite look is a little more boho, and we're taking this style inspo from Jessica Alba. After all the weather is getting warmer and who doesn't love a maxi dress?

This garm has got to be one of the easiest things to wear. Style it up or down for day or night, but we are loving Jessicas look with the denim biker and tan flats.

Looking After Your Arm Candy!

With a little love and care, your gorgeous arm candy, whether new or old will last you a very long time!

First off, your handbag needs to be well made and crafted from high quality materials including metal hardware and fasteners to stand the test of the time. Now, we don't mean those designer bags that cost a small fortune, we mean high end fashion handbags (you know...like the ones Bag Envy sell)!

A high end fashion handbag along with being well made and finished off to a high standard will also come with a dustbag. This is the outer cloth bag your handbags arrive in (from us) and they are usually branded with the designers logo and generally made from a soft cloth material.

Now, this dustbag is not just for show, it's there for a reason. When your not using your handbag, be it your having a change for example, always store your handbag in it's dustbag. This will protect it from damp, dust and anything else that could potentially damage it. 

For general everyday use and if your handbag gets dirty, we recommend wiping all over with a dry cloth and for any stubborn marks lightly remove with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasives or chemicals as these could potentially mark the materials. Some customers have recommended using baby wipes to clean their bags, but again check in an inconspicuous area first!

Now, here's a question for you girls. Where do you put your bag when your in the car? Most of us will admit we just put it in the boot or passenger foot well. Chances are you've just thrown it there too...it's bound to end up tattered!

Hands up if you overload your favourite arm candy! Yep, we've done that too. You can't be bothered carrying an extra shopper so you cram it all in including your lunch box, then you wonder why the straps are giving way.

These are all things to think about. Look after your handbag and it will give you years of pleasure and let's face it, no one wants to carry round a tatty old tote!

Walk In Wardrobes Of The Rich And Famous

Once upon a time, you had to pick up a glossy mag to see how the other half lives! But nowadays, thanks to social media we can stalk our favourite celebs every minute of every day to see what they're wearing, eating, what beauty products they love and their latest exercise regimes! You do it too...right?....

Whether it's footballer's wives, desperate housewives or your favourite hollywood socialite, you can guarantee one thing, they've all got amazing walk in wardrobes! 

We regularly stand in front of the wardrobe doors wishing we had more space. A whole room filled with clothes, shoes and bags sounds like heaven. But these celeb walk in's are bigger than most bedrooms, we'd even be happy with Carrie Bradshaw's closet!

Waist Training - Get Those Kim Curves!

Following on from our last kimmy K blog post, we thought we'd delve more into the world of the latest celeb craze - Waist training!

You've only got to look at Instagram and Twitter to see your favourite celebs indulging in workout routines, healthy eating and general #fitspo! We all dream of having that celeb body, hair or face, but the reality is that celebs have to work hard too and it's great to see them sharing these tips with us, you realise, they're human just like us! 

But what is waist training and does it actually work?

Basically, waist training is a gradual reduction in waist size gained by wearing a tight fitting corset. Back in Victorian days, ladies used to go through this ritual all day every day to gain a beautiful silhouette and it's no surprise its made a comeback, as the results are quite astonishing. 

But let's make something clear...You don't just wear a corset and hope for the best! No, this is combined with a healthy eating plan and regular exercise. Also, you need to become accustomed to the corset, you're building up from a couple of hours a day to wearing it all day, this is something you have to get used to, so don't expect that hour glass figure by the end of the week!

So, is this latest fad here to stay or will it disappear as quick as the summer sun? Who knows, but what works for the Kardashian sisters, surely could work for us...

In the words of Rita Ora....Kim Kardashian West is 'hot right now'!

Dominating the press and social media, everyone is jumping on the Kim bandwagon, whether it's contouring, selfies, style steals or waist training! 

Honestly, we have to admit, we love everything about Kim, especially what seems to be effortless chic. Yes, we know she has a team of make-up and hair stylists, but her skin is actually glowing and her recent blonde chop makes her look much more young and youthful. This woman is definitely a style icon, why else would major fashion houses such as Balmain be as obsessed as us...
